BEACH VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT
Monday, September 3
5:00 PM
One of the world's fastest-growing sports and an Olympic event since 1996, beach (or sand) volleyball is played with aggressive, breakneck speed marked by headlong dives into the sand and rapid exchanges culminating in hammering spikes, all under the summer sun. Beach volleyball is a perfect warm-weather sport for anyone who appreciates truly great athletes, or who just doesn't get to go on spring break any longer.
Don't miss all the high-speed, sand-spraying, hard-bodied action on City Island. A registration fee for participants is charged. Cash prizes will be awarded in each category and all players will receive a free tee shirt. There is no charge for spectators thanks to co-sponsor, The City of Harrisburg and Mayor Stephen R. Reed. |
