I Had a Dream
Have you ever had a dream? Well Dr. Martin Luther King definitely had a dream. All people should be able to unite as one nation. And also there would be no discrimination against race, nationality, and religious belief. Do you think we have lived up to his dream? I mean everybody dreams; have you ever dreamed of peace and unity? Well these are two key things that Dr. Martin Luther King wanted to install in the United States.
It seems now a days everybody has forgotten about the dream. The crime rate has gone up, school dropouts, increase in discrimination, and teenage pregnancy. It is time for us to relive the dream. That means first bringing the peace back in our nation. The first step will be restoring the community with more positive programs. The second step more positive role models volunteering in the community. The third would be eliminating the discrimination forever.
It is our responsibility to make sure this dream stays alive. He believed we should not be judged by our skin color but our character. The only thing that comes out of judging someone by skin colors is discrimination. Dr. King fought a hard and long struggle to get us this far. And how do you think we repay him by back firing the solution into a problem.
We are all basically crayons of different colors that belong in a crayon box. This means we are all of different races but were made to be together as one. No one should be treated different because of their specific beliefs. No one should be treated different because they are not as wealthy as other folks. We all should be treated equal. Which would be making no person better than the next but the same?
Dont just take this essay as a warning but a wake up call to do whats right and forget about what is wrong. When you see someone down let them know it will be okay. When you have a surplus of things give some of it away. When you can help out lend a hand. Then you would be adding to the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King.
